Getting Started
- How do I register for UC Invest Online?

To register your existing accounts for UC Invest Online you will need to complete a UC Invest Online Application Form. The completed form can be returned in person to our 212 Pirie Street, Adelaide office or mailed to UC Invest, GPO Box 2145, Adelaide SA 5001.
If you are opening a new account you can request UC Invest Online access on the application form.
- When do I get my UC Invest Online password?

Once we have successfully processed your application for access to UC Invest Online we will mail you a Member Number and instructions for logging in the first time. During this ‘First Time Log In’ process you will set your UC Invest Online password.
- Do I need a mobile phone to use UC Invest Online?

Yes. It’s a requirement that you have a mobile phone registered with UC Invest to receive SMS Security Codes.
- What is an SMS Security Code?

SMS Security Code is an identification tool that we use to protect your security. Certain transactions and requests that you make in UC Invest Online will prompt you to enter a security code. This code is a unique, single-use code which is delivered by text message to your registered mobile phone.
- When does an SMS Security Code expire?

SMS Security Codes have a relatively short life. Our security codes are only valid for 5 minutes before they expire. If a code expires before you have used it, simply send a request for another security code.
- What if my SMS Security Code is not accepted?

SMS Security Code could be rejected for a number of reasons, including expiry due to time delay. If the code you enter is rejected, simply send a request for another security code.
Account Information
- How up-to-date is my account information?
-
Your account balances and transaction history will immediately reflect the most accurate information about your accounts and requested transactions.
- What accounts can I view in UC Invest Online?

You can view both personal and organisation accounts with one Member Number.
For an account to be visible in UC Invest Online you must have registered to access the account by completing an Account Access / Change of Details Form.
Currently only at call and fixed term investments are available in UC Invest Online.
- How can I view my transaction history?

There are four ways to view your transaction history information:
- Hover over Account Information in the main menu and click on Transaction History
- Click on your Investment Number in the home page My Investments / My Organisations summary table
- Use the blue Quick Links that are located at numerous points around the site
- Use the ‘site-map’ menu links at the bottom of each page
- What are the oldest transactions that I can view?

The oldest transactions that you will find in UC Invest Online are 2 years old.
- How can I view my interest and account information?

There are three ways to view your interest and account information:
- Hover over Account Information in the main menu and click on Account Details
- Use the blue Quick Links that are located at numerous points around the site
- Use the ‘site-map’ menu links at the bottom of each page
Transfer Funds
- How do I withdraw funds from my UC Invest account?

To withdraw funds from your UC Invest account you will need to complete a New Transfer request in UC Invest Online. There are three ways you can find the New Transfer page:
- Hover over Transfer Funds in the main menu and click on New Transfer
- Use the blue Quick Links that are located at various points around the site
- Use the ‘site-map’ menu links at the bottom of each page
Please note that you cannot transfer funds from a fixed term investment.
- Where can I transfer money to?

You can transfer funds to any account that is linked to your membership or listed in your Address Book.
You may also request a transfer to any other Australian financial institution. You will require the BSB number, account number and the account holder’s name to make these transfers.
- If I make a transfer to another financial institution, when will it appear?

A transfer to another financial institution will not appear immediately.
If you complete a transaction before our processing cut-off time (3.30pm Adelaide time) your payment will generally be sent overnight. These payments would normally appear in the recipient’s account on the next day.
If you complete a transaction after our processing cut-off time, or on a weekend or public holiday, your payment will be sent on the next UC Invest business day.
Therefore, depending on when you complete your transaction, it could take up to 3 business days to reach your recipient’s account.
- Can I set up regular or future dated transfers?

No. Currently UC Invest Online does not have this function available.
- Can I restrict access to transferring funds?

Yes. If you do not want ‘Pay Anyone’ access from your UC Invest account, you may elect to have your investment linked to a Nominated Account at another financial institution. This means that any payments from your investment will only be sent to your Nominated Account.
- What is the maximum amount that I can withdraw?

By default we will set a maximum transfer limit of $5,000 per day.
You may elect to increase this amount to a maximum of $15,000 per day. Any changes to your transfer limits will need to be received on an Account Access / Change of Details Form.
- Why am I sometimes prompted for an SMS Security Code?

We have determined that certain transactions and requests processed via UC Invest Online require additional security measures to protect your account information and money.
- What is my Address Book?

Your Address Book is a listing of account numbers that you regularly pay money to. The Address Book feature saves you from having to re-enter the account details every time you make a transfer to a regular account.
- How do I add accounts to my Address Book?

You can only add an account to your Address Book when you process a New Transfer. There is a check box option at the bottom of the New Transfer screen that when selected will add the account to your Address Book at the completion of the transfer.
- Can I edit account details in my Address Book?

You can only remove accounts from your Address Book or change the account holder’s name. The BSB Number and Account Number cannot be altered.
- What are Pending Transfers?

Pending transfers only apply to accounts that use more than one signatory to authorise payments from an account (e.g. organisation accounts). If a transfer has only been authorised by one signatory it will be listed as a Pending Transfer until a second signatory authorises the payment.
Profile & Security
- What information is included on the Membership Details page?

This page enables you to view your registered contact information. You will also see a listing of the accounts and authorisation limits that you have access to.
- Why am I prompted for an SMS Security Code?

- Can I change any of my personal details online?

No. Currently UC Invest Online does not have this function available.
- How do I change my daily transfer limits?

Any changes to your transfer limits will need to be received on an Account Access / Change of Details Form.
- What are my Questions & Answers?

Your Questions and Answers are used to identify you in the event that your UC Invest Online Member Number becomes locked or you forget your password.
If you have completed your Questions & Answers you will be able to use our online password recovery function to reset your password or unlock your Member Number.
- What if I forget my Questions & Answers?

If you forget your Questions and Answers you will not be able to use our online password recovery function. To reset your password you will need to contact us during business hours to perform a manual password reset.
- How often should I change my password?

As a security measure we recommend that you change your password regularly, generally every three months.
- Will UC Invest staff ever ask for my password?
-
No. Under no circumstances will a UC Invest staff member ask you for your password. You should not reveal your password to anyone (including family members).
- Where should I go to log in to UC Invest Online?

You should always log in to UC Invest Online via our website ucinvest.com.au.
Never click a link in an email which claims will take you to UC Invest Online. We will never send you an email of this nature. You should immediately notify us that you received a fraudulent email.
- Will UC Invest ever send me an email requesting personal information?

No. We will never send an email requesting you to update your personal details. If you receive such an email you should immediately notify us that you received a fraudulent email. Never respond to any email requesting personal information.
- What happens if someone else discovers my password?

If you become aware or suspicious that someone has discovered your UC Invest Online password you should change it immediately.
Troubleshooting
- How do I reset my password after being locked out?

You can reset your password in two ways:
- Contact UC Invest during business hours to request a password reset.
- If you have previously completed your Questions and Answers you should be able to
reset your password online with the following steps:
- Visit UC Invest Online.
- Click on the green ‘Reset Password’ tab and enter your Member Number and date of birth.
- You will be prompted for an SMS Security Code. On request, the Security Code will be sent to your registered mobile phone and needs to be entered immediately. (SMS Security Codes expire within 5 minutes – if your code expires, simply request another Security Code).
- You will be prompted to enter the answer 2 of your listed Questions and Answers.
- If you answer the questions correctly, you will be able to reset your password.
- What do I do if I’ve lost my Member Number?

If you have lost or misplaced your Member Number you will need to contact us during business hours to request a Member Number Confirmation Letter.
For security reasons we will not disclose your Member Number over the phone.
